In a related public health concern, the WHO’s recommendations also emphasize the dangers of headphone use, as over a billion young adults may face hearing damage. The organization urges the implementation of new safety systems in headphones to automatically limit volume levels, thereby aiding in the prevention of hearing impairments among gamers.
Shifting gears to the realm of artificial intelligence, OpenAI and Google are advocating for changes in U.S. copyright laws that would permit their AI models to train on copyrighted content. During proposals submitted to the government, OpenAI made the case that granting access to such data is vital for national security and maintaining America’s edge in AI technology amidst rising competition from China.
