Grammarly has significantly expanded its AI-powered writing assistance by launching support for five new languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, and Italian. Previously limited to English, the platform now offers grammar correction, spelling checks, and paragraph-level rewrite suggestions in these languages. In addition, Grammarly users can now access real-time translation features, enabling fluid communication across 19 languages directly within the writing interface.

This expansion is one of the company’s most-requested features, aimed at making high-quality writing support available to a broader, global user base. Grammarly has stated that the new capabilities are currently in beta and will continue to evolve based on user feedback and ongoing AI development. The update aligns with the company’s broader strategy to integrate natural language understanding and generative AI to support multilingual communication across work, education, and everyday writing scenarios.

Meanwhile, Apple has introduced a new Live Translation feature with its AirPods Pro 3, announced as part of its latest hardware lineup. The feature, powered by Apple Intelligence, enables real-time translation between spoken languages through AirPods when paired with a compatible Apple device. At launch, the beta version supports five major languages: English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish, with additional language support—including Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese—planned for rollout later this year.

This move represents Apple’s growing focus on integrating advanced AI features into its everyday consumer products, providing users with seamless tools to bridge language barriers during travel, business, and cross-cultural communication. The AirPods Pro 3 also include hardware improvements such as enhanced active noise cancellation and a more ergonomic fit, but it’s the software-driven translation capability that’s drawing the most attention.
