Google Play’s New Feature: Share Passwords Securely within Family Groups

Google has introduced a new feature in its May 2024 Google Play Services that allows users to securely share passwords within their Google family group. This update enables sharing of passwords stored in Google Password Manager among up to six family members. The feature is currently available on mobile devices, with plans to extend it to Chrome on desktop in the future. However, password sharing is restricted to members of the Google family group, with alternative methods suggested for sharing with others.

Spotify has announced that its Car Thing device will cease to function after December 9, 2024. Despite initially promising support for the device following its discontinuation in July 2022, Spotify has now informed customers of its complete shutdown. The Car Thing, launched in February 2022, was designed for vehicles without built-in infotainment systems, connecting to the Spotify app for music streaming. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has clarified that it has not halted any orders for Nvidia’s Grace Hopper chips but has decided to use Nvidia’s newer Blackwell GPUs for an upcoming supercomputer project, Project Ceiba. The transition to Blackwell GPUs, announced in March, is specific to this project and does not affect AWS’s other services based on Nvidia’s Hopper chips. The clarification came after a report suggested AWS had shifted its orders from Grace Hopper to Blackwell chips.
