AWS Launches Centralized Security Incident Response Service

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched a new service called AWS Security Incident Response to help businesses manage cybersecurity threats more effectively. The service integrates findings from AWS’s threat detection tools and third-party services, providing a centralized dashboard for monitoring and managing security incidents. This new service aims to streamline incident response processes, allowing organizations to recover more quickly from cyberattacks. The service is now available to customers, including the PGA Tour, tapping into the growing incident response market projected to reach $89.09 billion by 2030.

Chulalongkorn University in Thailand has introduced ChulaGENIE, a generative AI application built on Google Cloud’s Vertex AI to support research and learning for its staff and students. The platform offers multilingual capabilities and allows users to create custom AI agents for various academic tasks. ChulaGENIE aims to enhance research efficiency and provide tailored academic support while focusing on responsible AI use. The application will be rolled out in phases, with staff gaining access in January 2025 and students in March 2025.

Jollibee Group is undergoing a digital transformation to enhance its global operations through automation and technology. Partnering with Workato, the company is developing a composable architecture to streamline workflows and improve customer experiences. Key initiatives include automating procurement processes and implementing data-driven insights to identify operational inefficiencies. Jollibee plans to introduce an AI-powered Back Office Bot to further automate back-office operations, aiming to create a more efficient and connected enterprise.

The OPPO Find X8 series, powered by ColorOS 15, features enhanced AI tools aimed at boosting productivity and creativity. The series includes an AI Writer for quick message composition, AI Reply for automated responses, and AI Summary for extracting key points from texts. Additionally, it offers a Touch to Share feature for seamless file sharing across devices and advanced AI Photo Editor tools for enhancing image quality. The Find X8 series is now available for purchase, starting at RM3,699.
