MG4 Malaysia Unveils Electric Hatchback to Rival BYD Dolphin

MG4 Malaysia has unveiled the MG4, an all-electric hatchback aimed to compete with the BYD Dolphin. The MG4 offers four variants, with prices starting from RM104,000. It features rear-wheel drive models and a range-topping all-wheel drive model. The top model can accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 3.8 seconds and supports up to 150kW of DC fast charging. The MG4 also comes with advanced safety features, targeting the compact EV market with a sportier option.

Allianz Malaysia has introduced Allianz EV Shield, a new insurance offering for EV owners. This coverage includes damages and injuries related to EV chargers and is available at no extra charge for those insured under the Allianz Private Car (Comprehensive) Individual policy. The EV Shield covers damages from home and public EV chargers, personal liability, and includes coverage for home chargers and portable charging cables. It also provides access to a 24-hour mobile EV charger and towing service for EVs that run out of battery.

The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona showcased various innovative gadgets, including a flying car by Alef Aeronautics, a robotic dog by Tecno Mobile, a transparent laptop prototype by Lenovo, an AI-powered companion doll named Hyodol for seniors, and an impaired speech voice converter app by Dutch startup Whispp. These gadgets demonstrate the ongoing advancements in technology and the diverse applications of AI and connectivity in everyday life.
