StarHub’s Giga telco services experienced a glitch during system upgrades on April 24 and 25, affecting hundreds of users. Some users were unable to access the Giga app, while about 5% could not make voice calls. The issue also caused delays in porting phone numbers to other telcos, exceeding the timeframe mandated by IMDA. Despite the disruption, services were restored by April 25, and affected customers were compensated with service credits.
Schneider Electric and JusEV launched an EV charging hub at Plaza 33, Petaling Jaya, featuring a 180kW EVlink Pro DC charger and EVlink Smart Wallbox AC chargers. The hub supports eWallet and card payments and aims to install over 100 chargers across Malaysia by the end of the year.
Vietnam’s FPT announced a partnership with Nvidia to establish a $200 million AI factory. The factory will feature Nvidia’s latest technologies, including AI Enterprise software and H100 Tensor Core GPUs, focusing on generative AI, autonomous driving, and sustainability.
