Niantic is developing a “Large Geospatial Model” (LGM) using data from Pokémon Go and other games to enhance AI’s understanding of the world. This model leverages millions of player-generated scans to create high-fidelity 3D maps, enabling computers and robots to navigate and interact with environments more effectively.
SpaceX successfully conducted its sixth Starship flight test, attended by President-elect Donald Trump. Although the company did not achieve its goal of catching the booster, it marked a milestone by reigniting the upper stage engine in space for the first time. Trump’s visit underscores a growing relationship with SpaceX and his support for its Mars ambitions.
PayPal is reviving its money-pooling feature, allowing users to collectively fund purchases for trips and gifts without needing a PayPal account.
