Google has introduced Gemini for Home, a significant upgrade to its smart home ecosystem, replacing Google Assistant across its devices. In conjunction with Gemini’s launch, Google Home Premium subscriptions are now available to enhance Nest devices, including smart speakers and cameras. Starting at $10 monthly, this service includes Gemini Live, an upgraded chatbot experience that allows for ongoing conversations without repeatedly using the wake word.
In other news, Spotify has released a valuable feature enabling users to exclude specific tracks from their taste profile. Regardless of their subscription level, users can now filter out songs they dislike, refining their music recommendations and enhancing the overall listening experience for shared accounts, especially those in family settings.
Meanwhile, Meta Platforms announced plans to leverage interactions with its AI tools for personalizing content and advertisements starting December 16. Finally, Philips has unveiled a new series of LCD TVs featuring Ambilight technology and the Roku TV operating system.
