Gentari has partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to develop an 80-megawatt wind power project in Tamil Nadu, India, projected to become operational by mid-2027. This initiative is expected to generate approximately 300,000 megawatt-hours of renewable electricity annually, supporting AWS’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
In parallel, the U.S. government’s General Services Administration has added OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, and Anthropic’s Claude to its approved artificial intelligence vendors list. This strategic move aims to facilitate the adoption of AI tools among federal agencies, ensuring compliance with federal standards while promoting responsible use of these technologies.
Moreover, Axon Enterprise, renowned for its law enforcement technology like TASERs and body-worn cameras, has raised its annual revenue forecast due to strong demand for its security products. The company anticipates revenues between $2.65 billion and $2.73 billion for 2025, citing increased corporate investment in public safety and growing interest from government agencies.
However, not all companies are thriving. GlobalFoundries has reported a forecast that falls short of Wall Street estimates, reflecting slow recovery in smartphone demand. The chipmaker expects third-quarter revenue of around $1.68 billion, impacted by economic uncertainty and reduced orders in the low-end smartphone market, although it has experienced growth in automotive and data center sectors.
