Walmart has announced a recall of nearly 18,000 Swagtron electric scooters due to safety concerns related to their lithium-ion batteries. The recall follows seven reports of overheating issues, including one incident that resulted in significant property damage and injuries in an apartment fire.
The affected SG-5 Swagger 5 Boost scooters, sold between May 2018 and October 2024, cost between $175 and $450. Consumers have been advised to stop using and charging the scooters, cut the throttle cord, and dispose of them according to local hazardous waste instructions. Interestingly, Swagtron has not issued its own recall despite multiple reports and the CPSC’s requests for more information.
Pokémon enthusiasts are buzzing as Pos Malaysia has launched a Special Edition Pokémon Stamp Folder Set available for pre-order.
