Spotify, the world’s largest music streaming provider, is reportedly finalizing its long-awaited HiFi streaming service, known as “Music Pro.” Set to launch this year, this new tier aims to enhance the experience with lossless audio alongside benefits like discounted concert tickets, potentially costing an additional $5 or $6 per month.
To support this expansion, Spotify has recently secured multi-year licensing deals with major record labels, Warner Music Group and Universal Music Group. These collaborations aim to solidify streaming rights essential for the HiFi launch and include features such as exclusive listening events and early music releases for subscribers.
Beyond the music industry, artificial intelligence continues to reshape various sectors. In China, the AI startup DeepSeek is in discussions with the China Meteorological Administration to provide advanced weather forecasting models. As part of China’s broader ambition to become a “weather superpower,” integrating AI into meteorology is seen as a key step in enhancing technological capabilities in the field.
