Netflix experienced significant outages affecting thousands of users in the United States during a live boxing match event. Over 12,000 incidents were reported, but by 9:21 p.m. ET, the number decreased to 5,114. Netflix has not yet commented on the situation.
Epoch AI has launched a new benchmark called FrontierMath to evaluate the reasoning and mathematical problem-solving abilities of large language models (LLMs). This benchmark features hundreds of unpublished mathematics problems and aims to address inadequacies in current benchmarks by focusing on creative problem-solving and logical reasoning. The initiative involves collaboration with over 60 mathematicians and seeks to provide a standard measure of AI progress in complex reasoning.
Google is introducing a Gemini-powered AI image generator in Google Docs for paid Workspace accounts. This feature allows users to create custom visuals by describing the desired image and selecting an art style. The rollout will start with rapid release domains and is expected to expand to scheduled release domains by mid-December.
