Meta’s Threads Opens Developer API: A New Era for Social Network Apps

Meta’s social network competitor to Twitter/X, Threads, is opening its developer API to the public in June. Developers can now create apps that interact with Threads, including tracking analytics, publishing posts, and retrieving replies. The API has limitations to prevent spam, such as a cap on the number of posts and replies within a 24-hour period.

Tesla has settled with the family of Apple engineer Wei “Walter” Huang, who died in a crash while his Tesla was on Autopilot. The terms of the settlement are confidential and pending approval by a judge. Tesla had planned to argue that Huang was distracted by playing a game on his phone at the time of the crash.

Multiverse, a UK-based apprenticeship program provider, has acquired Searchlight, a startup utilizing AI technology for talent sourcing. This acquisition aims to enhance Multiverse’s professional training services with AI. Searchlight’s technology will help diagnose skills needed within companies and deliver impactful solutions.

The Apple Vision Pro can be used to watch a solar eclipse, but eclipse glasses need to be placed over its cameras to prevent damage. Despite displaying a “Tracking Failed” error message due to darkness, the device allowed for safe viewing of the eclipse.

A new app called Supercut is now available for the Apple Vision Pro, bringing Netflix streaming with a better viewing experience. The app supports 4K streaming with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, includes playback controls, and the ability to switch between profiles for a one-time payment of $4.99.
