Yes 5G has introduced a new contract option for its Infinite Postpaid plan, allowing customers to save up to RM80/month. The Yes Infinite Basic plan, originally priced at RM58/month, is now available for RM38/month under a 12-month contract. This plan includes unlimited 5G data, uncapped speed, unlimited calls to all networks in Malaysia, and 20GB of hotspot quota per month. Additional savings are available for higher-tier plans with more hotspot quota. Yes 5G also offers free “unlimited” 5G roaming in Singapore with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) of 10GB of high-speed data. An alternative plan, Yes Power 35, offers 150GB of 5G data for RM35/month without the free roaming perk.
WhatsApp experienced a worldwide outage, affecting its 2 billion users. The issue began just after 2PM ET, with the service stuck on “connecting” and messages not being delivered until the service was restored. Meta’s business APIs also reported outages affecting WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. By 4:45PM ET, the services were reported to be functioning again. This outage follows a previous major Meta outage that did not affect WhatsApp.
NASA has chosen three space companies – Intuitive Machines, Lunar Outpost, and Venturi Astrolab – to design the next-generation moon buggy, with only one design eventually going to space. The teams will undergo a 12-month “feasibility phase” leading to a preliminary design review. The final selected company will be responsible for designing, launching, and landing the lunar terrain vehicle (LTV) on the moon before the Artemis V mission, slated for no earlier than 2029. The LTV is expected to have a 10-year lifespan and carry two suited astronauts.
Apple’s online services, including the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Music, faced a global outage. The system status page for Apple’s services reported the outage beginning at 6:31PM ET, affecting various services. The outage was resolved by 7:35PM ET. The cause of the outage was not immediately provided by Apple. This incident occurred shortly after a separate outage affected WhatsApp and other Meta services.
