Taiwan’s Wistron Corp is planning to raise up to $923 million through the sale of global depository shares listed in Luxembourg. The company, known for supplying Nvidia, intends to sell 250 million depository shares at a price between $36.20 and $36.93. This pricing represents a discount of about 4% to 6% from the stock’s closing price of NT$115 ($3.85). Wistron aims to utilize this funding to procure raw materials in foreign currencies.
In addition, Wistron announced that its new manufacturing facilities in the U.S. for Nvidia will commence operations next year. These facilities will focus on high-performance computing and AI-related products, and the company is actively seeking new clients.
Meanwhile, the influence of artificial intelligence is reshaping career choices among young job seekers. A recent survey by Prospects involving more than 4,000 British students revealed that nearly 39% utilize AI for resume optimization, while 30% start their resumes from scratch. This trend highlights how AI tools are facilitating job applications, with over 50 applications submitted by one-fifth of the graduates.
Educational institutions are urged to adapt to this evolving landscape, as 10% of the surveyed individuals have already altered their career paths due to the advent of AI. Thus, AI not only transforms job search methods but also prompts varying levels of anxiety regarding future job security, especially in professions like graphic design and writing.
