The company recently raised $3.6 million in a seed round led by French edtech firm Educapital. With $12 million in annual recurring revenue, Vocal Image continues to expand its role in AI-driven communication coaching.
In related news, online age checks have surged globally, raising concerns about Internet freedom. In the U.S. and U.K., users are often required to verify their age via IDs or facial scans, which promotes child safety but risks compromising privacy for all users.
More than 20 U.S. states have adopted age verification laws for websites. Reddit has implemented age verification checks in the U.K., while Bluesky chose to block access in Mississippi rather than comply with a state law.
