Investigations by The Washington Post and The Daily Beast identified duplicated references, some nonfunctional or inaccurate citations, and metadata tags such as “oaicite” that suggest AI-assisted writing.
While the Department of Health and Human Services has acknowledged and updated formatting and citation errors, it maintains that the substance of the report remains valid.
