Following alarm signals from Belgium and France about the #SkinnyTok trend, the EU has drafted recommendations for platforms like TikTok and Instagram to better protect minors, inviting public feedback until June 10.
Adding to TikTok’s challenges, the app has been charged with breaching EU online content rules, risking a hefty fine from the European Commission. The preliminary findings point out the company’s failure to comply with the Digital Services Act, particularly regarding its advertisement repository and transparency.
On a more bizarre note, an Amazon delivery driver went viral for departing from her usual duties in Los Angeles, as security footage showed her leaving unsightly messes outside homes while on her route. Amazon has since confirmed that this driver, an independent contractor, is no longer with the company following this incident.
