OpenAI is reportedly developing its own social platform akin to X, aimed at real-time data collection for training its AI models. This early-stage project features an internal prototype that focuses on integrating ChatGPT’s image generation capabilities within a social feed.
In a rally to demand accountability from Meta, 45 families who lost children to online harms held a vigil outside the company’s New York City office. The parents highlighted the dangers of social media, insisting that Meta needs to stop promoting harmful content and take measures to protect children.
In line with improving user experiences, Netflix has introduced a new subtitle feature that displays only spoken dialogue. This change, available for select original titles, aims to enhance accessibility for viewers who prefer subtitles while reducing distractions caused by audio cues.
Responding to concerns from parents, Meta has implemented new safety measures across its platforms, including tighter controls on teen accounts. Despite these efforts, skeptics argue that the changes are insufficient and call for more substantial accountability to protect young users from online harms.
Additionally, while Netflix rolls out its dialogue-only subtitles, which are currently available only for some new content, the platform also allows users to select from expanded language options for greater accessibility and user satisfaction.
