Fortnite is currently unavailable on iOS devices after Epic Games announced that Apple has blocked its return to the platform. The game, previously accessible through the Epic Games Store in the EU, is now “offline” on iPhones and iPads worldwide following Apple’s rejection of its recent resubmission.
Epic’s CEO Tim Sweeney has voiced frustration that unauthorized Fortnite clones have been approved on the App Store while the legitimate game remains banned. He claims the app review process has been manipulated by Apple management. This conflict stems from Epic’s ongoing legal battles with Apple over in-app payment practices.
In a separate development, Renergy Power, a new Charge Point Operator (CPO), has initiated the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in Ipoh, Malaysia. With five charging sites established around the city, Renergy aims to meet the growing demand for EV infrastructure in its home region, featuring a mix of AC and DC chargers.
Renergy’s pricing structure is relatively competitive, charging 88 sen per kWh for AC charging and a tiered fee for DC charging depending on speed. Additionally, an idle fee is applied if customers do not remove their vehicles within a specified timeframe after charging. Charging sessions are activated via the Renergy mobile app, which also processes payments through their integrated gateway.
Despite being a newcomer, Renergy has ambitious plans for expansion, targeting over 100 charging points across Malaysia within the next few years. The company also seeks to broaden its reach into neighboring countries, including Thailand and Indonesia, as it aims to establish 900 charging points by 2027.
